WLON (1050 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a classic hits format from the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s and has been serving the Lincolnton, North Carolina area since 1953. The station is currently owned and operated by Lanny Ford, through licensee Sports Talk Guys, LLC. WLON is also the home of Lincoln County high school sports and American Legion baseball, Atlanta Braves baseball, Clemson and UNC Tar Heels college basketball and football as well as the Carolina Panthers.
